OASIS FESTIVAL WITH SUSTAINABILITY

Every generation has its unforgettable music festivals and these must also be Sustainable. They have to be Sustainable because all the events held generate a high negative impact on the environment and on people, and for this reason we can and must reduce the carbon footprint of the OASIS FESTIVAL. These negative effects are:

· Increase in waste.
· High consumption of energy, water, food…
· Generation of atmospheric pollution.
· Noise and light pollution.
· Increased mobility and therefore encourage sustainability.
· Greater environmental degradation.

For this, OASIS FESTIVAL has a sustainability plan to improve all these aspects and seek to reduce the carbon footprint generated by the festivals.

TIPS FOR ENJOYING THE FESTIVAL IN A SUSTAINABLE WAY

To counteract the negative impact, OASIS FESTIVAL is going to give you some guidelines that, thanks to the collaboration of professionals from different sectors, and the joint work between promoters, organizers, sponsors, suppliers and participants, will improve all these aspects.

Choose Sustainable Festivals.

· Research the festival you are going to attend to make sure it has sustainable practices. Check the festival’s policies regarding the environment.
· Reduce the use of plastic: Choose reusable products instead of disposable plastic products.
· Consume local products. Support local farmers and businesses by consuming fruits, vegetables and other KM 0 products that help reduce the carbon footprint.
· Consume vegan/plant-based products. Avoid animal products. This reduces the carbon footprint.
· Consume water responsibly: Use the water fountains installed at the Event with your festival glass or reusable bottle. · Separate your waste and help compost: Separate your waste into recycling and composting bins. Make sure to follow your area’s recycling guidelines to maximise efficiency.

Raise awareness: Participate in the Festivals’ sustainable spaces. In their sustainable, equality, integration, volunteering and social programme activities.
Eco-friendly transport and accommodation: Use a bicycle, public transport or shared transport to reduce CO2 gas emissions. Consider nearby accommodation options to reduce the need to travel.
Support sustainable fashion and make-up companies: For your clothing and make-up, choose brands and companies that have sustainable practices and use biodegradable glitter and sustainable make-up products.
Take care of the Space: Respect the festival environment.
